July 2010 ~ Damaged Trees to be removed by National Grid
Kendall Elementary School will go through a tree removal process this summer - at no cost to the taxpayers - as it has recently been informed by National Grid that seven trees in the front of the building, by Kendall Road, are diseased, in decline or structurally unsound and must be removed. As a result, National Grid has directed the school that the damaged trees must be removed.

According to Kendall CSD Superintendent Julie Christensen National Grid determined the seven trees have the potential to fail and cause interruption to electric service to the area, as well as cause damage to the electrical equipment. As a result, National Grid will remove the trees, not the school.

The district is currently investigating options for tree replacement in light of National Grid's recent findings.
