Welcome back. The Kendall Physical Education staff (K-12) has worked on several areas of our program over the past few months and we would like to share some of what our focuses have been. We would like to reinforce practices that have been successful and introduce new information. {open letter here} |
 The Jogger's Club“The Jogger's Club” is a program that the Physical Education Department has started, to inform our students of the benefits of being physically active. The program covers grades K through 6. Each class started jogging for 3 straight minutes at the beginning. If the majority of the class finishes the jog at the allotted time then the class receives a sticker, which is posted on the wall to track each class's progress. This tool is used to both get our students active as well as prepare them for the fitness testing that is done throughout the year. Our Club has been received well by the students who come in eager to beat their last time! Great job students on gaining the tools to maintain a healthy fitness level for your entire life! |
| Physical Education Reminders To ensure student safety in physical education classes, it is required that all students wear appropriately fastened sneakers that are tied with shoelaces or fastened with Velcro. When the bottom of the sneaker is tugged on, it should remain on the foot. Sneakers that slip on are NOT safe for physical education class. The soles of the sneakers should be FLAT with a good rubber bottom. Sneakers that are elevated or slip-on, hiking shoes and cleats will NOT be allowed in physical education class. Parents' cooperation is of great importance for the safety of all our students. Please contact the physical education teachers, at 659-8317 if you have any questions |
