SENIOR NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP
The Senior National Honor Society is ranked as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students. The Society was founded in 1921, and chapters exist in three-fourths of the nation's high schools. The National Honor Society promotes recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of academics, character, leadership and service. Membership is both an honor and a responsibility. Students selected for membership are expected to continue to demonstrate the four qualities that earned them selection.

Students do not apply for membership in the Senior National Honor Society. Membership is an honor bestowed upon students selected by a faculty selection committee. Membership is open to qualified sophomores, juniors and seniors who have a cumulative grade point average of 87 percent or higher. If the scholarship requirement is met, students can then be considered for selection on the basis of leadership, service and character. Students must complete the Student Activity Form, which is reviewed and evaluated by the Faculty Selection Committee. Candidates selected to become members are inducted into the Kendall Chapter during an evening induction ceremony.

Please remember to submit your Community Service sheets to Mrs. Rosales or Mrs. Bauer before the end of the school year. If you need a copy of the community service log, you can access a copy of it here.
