Due to the limited supply of certified subs, Kendall Central School now accepts applications from college graduates who are not yet certified, but interested in and available to substitute teach. Training will be provided as may be needed. If you are interested in helping as a volunteer coach, please contact KCS Athletic Director Kevin J. Watson at (585) 659-2706 for more information. As per New York State, all prospective-coaches (Volunteer or Paid) are required to fulfill the following requirements prior to assisting in any capacity:
- Fingerprint Clearance (see information below)
- Valid CPR/AED Certification
- Responding to Emergencies (Advanced First-Aid) Certification
- Concussion Management Training
- SAVE Training
- Child-Abuse Detection Training
- Dignity for All Students (DASA) Certification
Once the aforementioned requirements are completed, prospective coaches must next enroll in appropriate coaching-specific courses approved by New York State within the State's approved timeline. The Statewide Vendor Managed System (SVMS”) for fingerprinting is a system for capturing fingerprints for civil purposes (i.e. employment, licensing, etc.) The name of the only vendor is Morpho Trust. Morpho Trust has a website that provides more information on the fingerprinting process: www.identogo.com

Morpho Trust requires you to provide an “ORI Number.” An ORI Number is a unique number that is assigned to the New York State agencies by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (“DCFS”). It is a way for both the vendor and DCJS to know which agency to send the fingerprint results to once the fingerprinting process is complete.
What is the ORI Number for the New York State Education Department (“NYSED”)? On the Morpho Trust system, NYSED uses a code (which is easier to remember rather than a number: ORI Number is: TEACH
