AFS News We are presently looking for families interested in hosting an AFS exchange student. Portfolios of students are available to look at. There are approximately 20 students, ages 16-18, waiting to be placed in the Western New York area. Please consider this opportunity and contact Marty Cusimano or Val Gaesser at the Elementary School (659-8317). Calling for information is not a commitment to a student, but may help you decide if this is an opportunity your family would like to take advantage of. A Proud AFS History During World Wars I and II, young Americans volunteered as ambulance drivers in the American Field Service evacuating the wounded from the battlefields. When they returned home, they founded a movement to promote understanding and peace through international student exchanges. AFS has a partnership with more than 50 countries. AFS Clubs vary from school to school. Kendall High School has been hosting AFS exchange students for more than 25 years!
