1/30/12
The Varsity Eagles dropped the last two contests losing 73-44 to Oakfield last Saturday. The Eagles were led in scoring by junior Dan Kelly who had 12 pts. Friday night the Eagles played host to Alexander and dropped a tough one 54-49. Senior Preston Vick led the way with 19 pts and 9 rebounds and Senior Mike Nauden chipped in with 17 pts respectively. The team travels to Notre Dame on Tuesday night to battle the Irish.

The Varsity Eagles travelled to Holley to face the Hawks on Wednesday night and dropped a tough one by the score of 51-43 in overtime. The Eagles found themselves trailing by 11 points at the half but, came out with a spirited second half and overtime effort. The team was led in scoring by Junior Dan Kelly who had 15 pts in the contest. Next up for the Eagles is Oakflied on Saturday.

The Varsity Eagles played host to Byron Bergen on Saturday and lost by a score of 67-55. The Eagles were led by Junior Dan Kelly’s 15 pts and Jonah Dalcin added 11. The boys travel to Holley on 1/18/12 to face the rival Hawks.

The Varsoty Eagles travelled to Attica on 1/12/12 . The Varsity Boys picked up their second win of the season defeating Attica 61-45. The Eagles saw a balanced attack with Preston Vick having a monster effort of 18 pts and 16 rebounds. Mike Nauden dropped 13pts on 3 threes and Matt Edick added 14 points with a pair of threes for the Eagles.

The Varsity Eagles faced the Pembroke Dragons on Tuesday evening at Kendall and dropped a hard fought game 57-45. The half time score saw the Eagles trailing 33-19. Kendall was lead in scoring by Junior Dan Kelly with 9pts including 2 threes. Next up for the Eagles is Attica on Thursday evening in Attica and then a home game Saturday vs. Byron Bergen.

The Varsity Eagles played host to the visiting Elba Lancers on Friday evening and fell by a score of 78-48. The Eagles were led in scoring by Junior Matt Edick with 11pts. The Eagles are now 1-7 on the year and play host to Pembroke on Tuesday night at 5:30. Elba was led in scoring by Dan Ramsy who dropped 30 points on the Eagles.

Congratulations to the JV Boy’s Basketball team on defeating Elba 55-30 on Friday night; Deandre Nauden led the eagles with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Will Condo added 16 points, 10 rebounds, and D’Andre Helms scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. The JV team next faces Pembroke on Tuesday night. The boys’ are off to their best start in several years, posting a 7-1 record.

The Varsity Eagles traveled to Gananda over the holiday break to participate in their tournament. The Eagles fell 57-32 vs. Greece Odyssey. The Eagles were lead by Senior Mike Nauden with 10 points. The second round of the tournament saw the Eagles face the host team Gananda. The final for that game was 53-39. I was very proud of how our team battled in this game. The short handed Eagles never gave up and battled until the final buzzer. Preston Vick scored a team high 13 points and was named to the all tournament team.

Congratulations to the Kendall JV Boys’ Basketball team for winning the 2011 Gananda JV Boys’ Holiday Tournament. Evan Gaessar led the way for the Eagles scoring 20 points in the first contest to help sink Greece Odyssey, and he also scored 14 points in the Championship game to down Gananda.
