Dear Parents, Students and Community Members:

The Kendall School District has the safety of all students at the forefront each and every day. The following are some of the safety and security measures in place:
  • All buildings have motion detectors and security listening devices and all buildings are alarmed.

  • There are 37 cameras in the District which security personnel monitors and can be reviewed remotely.

  • Each morning when the children arrive, there are security personnel and administrators outside the building monitoring the children's safe arrival into the building.

  • Once the children are in the building, all doors are locked except the front entrance. There are security stations at the front door of each building. KCS security personnel are trained in security and safety procedures.

  • All employees are issued identification tags. The District has a Comprehensive School Safety Plan and practices the various drills. The District has 63 personnel trained in AED and CPR.

  • At the conclusion of the school day, security, selected teachers, and administrators move outside to safely move the students on to the busses.
I hope this information provides a level of assurance. If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
